In Defense of My Defense

I noticed that many of my posts seem to be very defensive. I spend a lot of time trying to clarify what I mean, and justify why I do things. Not that I've made many crazy, reckless decisions, but they seem to be of the non-permanent type. I have known for a very long time that I don't have a clear timeline for how and when I make my decisions, and I'm very stubborn once they're made.

Coxswains make hard fast decisions. And once they're made, a change could be the difference between losing and crashing into a bridge.

I'm not getting a ton of negative feedback for what I've done or said, at least not lately; we all have our own path. However, this mostly said of people who aren't assimilating to the normal path.

Gearing up for The Unlost e-Course that starts on Monday, I've been cataloging all my big decisions and seeing what their results have been. Refusing to look for a high-paying, zero respect government job was a choice. Moving to Atlanta was a decision. Is there a difference?

Maybe I've missed a step. Maybe all my big decisions aren't. Maybe I'm just waiting for a big decision to find me.
