Head Race Season

I'm at the end of Fall Head Race season. A time where it's not about going head to head, but doing your best to move the boat and hoping that it is better than everyone else in the end.

I made the decision to relocate according to my relationship, but apparently some peeps have beat me to the punch. I believe we are well past wedding season, and into the baby/puppy equinox.

I don't think I'm reluctant to the idea, but just the timing. If I wait until later, will it just be starting the race later in the chute, or am I just slower? Or if we are on opposite day, am i going at a 28 instead of a 24?

Head of the Charles was this past weekend, and my boat did very well considering the circumstances. The boat has a guaranteed bid next year. I think I've proved my abilities as a coxswain and girlfriend, and I don't want to make the comparison of "am I ready to be out of the race?" Or maybe I'm in the Fall, while everyone else is preparing for the Spring...
