I won't lie when I say that this blog was an experiment. And when I started to commit to posting at the beginning of last year, also an experiment.

I do care who my audience is, and although this blog is a bit scattered on it's focus, I do think that it is different. I am a coxswain who hasn't coxed in a long time. I apply a coxswain mentality to my life outside of the sport. This may make me come across as headstrong or insensitive or controlling, but most coxswains (and people) can be. It's like applying the Battle Hymn of the Tiger Mother, except I have no kids.
During my last Unlost module, I started thinking about "What's in it for them?". My audience. What do people actually get out of reading what I write. If I think that I have something to offer, does my audience feel the same. What exactly am I offering?
My hope is that I am inspiring readers to be more optimistic, to set their goals and proactively pursue them. I hope that I am inspiring readers to think and dream bigger; to want to do more with their time, whether it's by traveling, getting ahead professionally, getting stronger physically, or just taking a moment to enjoy little things often taken for granted.
I'd appreciate any comment or input on this front. Making the most of time is something that is very important to me, to not wake up one day and feel that time has been wasted. I hope that my love for making it count will help another to do the same, maybe even in the most unexpected ways.
