Friday Five

Coming off of a crazy month, I realized today that it's not going to calm down anytime soon. Thankfully my awesome budget spreadsheet is working, because I am in a vicious cycle of travel, possible reimbursement, balance personal credit card, prep for more travel, business and/or pleasure. January is the next month that I have nothing scheduled.

But, all of this craziness just confirms that that's life. Speeding up and staying busy, getting curveballs and trying to make it to Friday. Don't wait for a "slow time" that's never really going to arrive. Take each day as it comes and enjoy it.

1) My 100th Blog post
It's kind of a big deal for me. I just hope I've made it count.

2) Thought Catalog: 27 Things That Will Make Your Life Easier, Period
I love their articles and this one seems very perfect for right here, right now.

3) Shakespeare in the Park
I admit, I've read The Tempest or watched it in its entirety. I don't think this is going to be the Russell Brand/Helen Mirren version; but it's Shakespeare, it's Piedmont Park, it's a picnic. What's not to love? Georgia Renaissance Festival next weekend can come too...

4) A Damn Fine Derby Day
ScoutMob and H. Harper Station are hosting a fabulous Kentucky Derby event, mint juleps, floppy hats and all. It will be my first time eating Hot Brown, but not my first enjoying Harper Station's amazing cocktails and listening to live Bluegrass. Much classier than the Preakness...

5) Mochi
If I could compare them to anything it would be Snowballs. Chewy Rice Cake outside, my favorite red bean paste inside. There also ice cream versions, which Japanese restaurants serve. Find them in the refrigerated section of most Asian markets. My sweet tooth fix for this month. Double points if you go for the Black Sesame. Enjoy!
