This is my 100th blog post. I started this blog when I was an angry, broke 23-year-old, sick of being in sheisty relationships and dealing with my crappy car. What started as a sarcastic, biting, "why are people stupid" blog, turned into a more pointed, hopeful, and overall refreshing way of getting through my days. With that said, I hope no one actually goes back and reads the first half of these blog posts.
Here are some things I've learned from the One Hundred:
1) "Relationships last longer when you don't tell people your business."I don't usually blog about my current relationship. I have however blogged about past relationships, and those can stay in the past as far as I'm concerned. They're a hard lesson learned.
2) Life shouldn't revolve around your significant other. Yes, it's wonderful to have a partner, but partners can come and go. Life is wonderful on it's own, and a partner/spouse/BF should be a person you want to share it with. Said like a true person who never really dreamed about getting married….
3) I am still skeptical about openly posting this on my Facebook account, but I love my twitter clicks. Thanks guys!
4) I don't need to post something substantial everyday, but then what's the point? Keeping a log of your daily activities with no real purpose, or worse, complaining about them, isn't something people want to read.
5) I like to think this is a coxswain blog that doesn't really discuss crew. I think coxswains are a special breed, and have a very unique vantage point, in the boat and in life.
6) A blog can be a form of accountability. Just make sure your audience actually cares. Otherwise you're just talking to yourself…
7) I still don't know if this is a lifestyle, advice, fitness, travel, or coxing blog. But, I am proud of it
8) Some people blog because they're lonely or need to vent. I want to blog because I'm on a journey, wherever that may go.
9) Finding new five things that I love every week can be challenging. But, it keeps me hopeful and appreciative.
10) Finding new places I'd like to travel is easy. Knowing the reasons why you love where you are is all you'll ever need.
